Norfolk Holidays in the City Grand Illumination Parade
A synchronized community countdown signals the spectacular lighting of the skylines of Downtown Norfolk and Olde Towne Portsmouth. The illumination triggers teh start the hour-long 22nd Annual Grand Illuminations Parade filled with festive and lighted floats, marching bands, giant balloons, dancers, and of course, Santa Claus himself. Downtown Norfolk.

Thanksgiving Day marks the beginning of special holiday programs at Colonial Williamsburg that continue through New Year's Day. Highlights include Grand Illumination, community Christmas tree lighting, holiday music concerts, and walking tours of decorations. Open daily. Admission required for most events.

Celebration in Lights
A two-mile drive-through of spectacular animated scenes set in Newport News Park. New display area commemorates Captain Christopher Newport's Landing. Virginia's longest running drive-through light event. Newport News.

Garden of Lights
The Norfolk Botanical Garden illuminates a world of wonders with close to a million twinkling lights. Drive along a 2.5 mile route through the Garden, and enjoy a winter wonderland complete with toy soldiers, a gingerbread house, and Santa. Norfolk.
