Battle of Hampton Roads Weekend
On March 9, 1862, Hampton Roads harbor was the site of the first battle between ironclad ships. Annual event to highlight the Civil War Navies. Nationally renowned scholars will participate. View Civil War encampments, chose among a variety of tours and witness the construction of the new USS Monitor Center, scheduled to open March 9, 2007. At the Mariners' Museum, Newport News.

Shamrock Marathon

St Patrick's Day Ceildh Block Party
Erin go Braugh! A taste of the old Ireland fills Queens Way on the Saturday before good St. Patrick's feast day. Pronounced "kaylee", this street festival is a downtown version of Irish/Scottish traditional fairs featuring live music, dance and entertainment. Hampton.
