America's Anniversary Christmas Trees
Governors of all 50 states were asked to contribute a symbolic state ornament for each of two Christmas trees to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown. One tree is in the rotunda of the York-Poquoson Courthouse and the other in York Hall.

Portsmouth celebrates Holidays in the City with the best local and regional music groups, choirs and musicians featured in venues along High Street. This musical tribute to the spirit of the holiday season is always well attended by families from all over Hampton Roads. Portsmouth Olde Towne Scottish Walk
Modeled after Scotland's Hogmanay Festival, a day when townspeople honor their community and merchants, offering blessings for prosperity in the coming year.
